Childbirth Education Class Instructor : Shelly Kirkbride
Shelly has over eighteen years experience as a child birth educator, thirteen years experience as a Doula (private labor support) and has been employed as a Labor and Delivery nurse by Covenant Healthcare for over five years. She is currently working on obtaining her national teaching certification. She is a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nursing, International Childbirth Educators Association and Lamaze International. As our childbirth instructor, Shelly works closely with Dr. Russell in designing unique classes for expectant parents. These classes provide patients and their partners with skills and information needed for understanding and coping with labor and making best decisions for your birth experience.

Jessie is a certified Lactation Support Specialist and Counselor. With over 5+ years experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Covenant Healthcare, Jessie serves as the Chairperson for the Mother/ Baby Committee and as the Co-Chair for the Lactation Support Committee. In keeping with Dr. Russell’s philosophies, Jessie designs her Breast Feeding Classes to provide parents with the knowledge needed to make an informed decision about breastfeeding and help understand the breastfeeding process including “hands-on” practice and follow-up support. |
